Kick off your paddling season at the Midwest's number one whitewater, river paddling event.
Highlight include the "Kettle River Run" a down river kayak, canoe and raft race on Saturday, May 1st and a Whitewater Rodeo on Sunday, May 2nd. 
New to the paddle festival - a special event screening of The Call of the River - One Hundred Years of Whitewater, produced by award-winning videographer and former world champion Kent Ford.
Other highlights of the Kettle River Paddle Fest © include a paddle making demo, paddler parties at the Gas Light Bar and a *FIREWORKS* show in downtown Sandstone on Saturday night.
Activities are centered at Robinson Park, in Sandstone, MN. The Kettle River Paddle Fest is open to the public. vehicle registration is required for Banning State Park.
The Paddle Festival has a full weekend of paddling activities for white water and flat water paddlers. Challenge yourself on white-water rapids or enjoy some easy paddling on the Kettle River's upper or lower sections. The river is designated as "Wild and Scenic" and is a beautiful float from the head waters down to the St. Croix.
